A Passion for GRC
As odd as it sounds, we are passionate about Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance. We seek to enhance our client’s organizational success through improved GRC execution. Our personnel believe in continuous improvement, for our clients, our own company, and individually. Our personnel constantly seek professional development opportunities, whether through advanced degrees, professional certifications, and continuing education. Certifications include high level certifications such as:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from ISC2, the gold standard for security professionals with a minimum of five years of relevant information security experience.
- Certified in Risk and Information System Control (CRISC) from ISACA, the primary information risk certification for professionals.
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the ACFE, the preeminent certification for professionals in the areas of fraud prevention, detection, and investigation.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) from the PMI. The primary project management certification required by many government clients.
Why the Name Green Monster?
The name comes from two of the Green Monster GRC’s founder’s early life experiences.
As a Marine Corps Veteran, the term ‘Marine Green’ was a common phrase heard. In addition, for years, Marines that went to boot camp were given a book. It was affectionately known as “The Little Green Monster” and had the official title “The U.S. Marine Guidebook of Essential Subjects.”
Green Monster GRC’s founder also grew up in New England. They became a big fan of the New England sport teams. These teams include the Boston Red Sox, who play at Fenway Park. Fenway Park is famous for the Left Field Wall, known as the Green Monster. Its height stopped many hits that would have been home runs in other fields.
